As part of their global expansion plans, this social media giant chose Ireland to build one of the most advanced and efficient, hyperscale data centres in the world. The sheer scale of the building meant it required an engineering partner that could offer a broad range of expert services, provided at regular intervals during the project.
Appointed by MACE Group, ECC’s full-service, multi-disciplinary team worked across every aspect of this construction project. Given the scale of the project, 9 other contractors were appointed. ECC worked alongside each of these providing site engineering services and supplying expert personnel across an array of specialities.
During the 2020 pandemic, when there was a reduction in teams on the ground, ECC responded by engaging advanced technologies such as 3D Scanning and Virtual Reality to enable the continuation of all building works at a superior level of quality.
Implementing the latest technology advancements throughout the project meant ECC cut the contractors build costs and improved site productivity beyond expectations. Given the scale of the building project, 9 other contractors were also appointed under MACE. ECC worked alongside each of these providing site engineering services and supplying expert personnel across an array of specialities.
